Work, in the Garden. 2026
October 3–4 | 10am – 4pm
N111 Elmwood St. Winfield, IL, 60190
Directions available here.
The Return
It has been too long since the garden was open.
For the past few seasons, I’ve planned to host this sale only to back out under the workload of a new semester. Each time, I felt the loss of it. I missed the chance to share the work and the garden together. I missed the conversations the pottery has with the work of friends, and the conversations we have about how all of it—the work, the garden, and the community—is growing.
This summer, three different people asked if the sale was coming back. I’m taking that as a sign.
The Season
We are moving the event to the first weekend of October. The weather should be cooler and the light a bit softer. There will be asters and goldenrod in bloom, with amaranth and sunflowers standing near the studio doors.
It is a good time to be outside.
The Makers
This year, I am hosting four guest artists—the most we’ve ever had.
